Jim Mclachlan poem

A peculiar day

An amber ant was ambering things as he walked along,

But for some wacky reason when the clock went bong,

The unicorn unexpectedly jumped out his house of dung yelling,

“The ant has blue knickers that he bought from king kong!”

As a weird amazing antelope jumped, his tail chiming chong chong hasong

While the eagle sang pliperong pliperong pliperong! The ant stared and watched them and muttered under his breath “Waldo waldo waldo wahong! …”

A vicious mapdap came and scared them away, and in it was an octopus holding a blue breakable tray and on the mapdap with an octopus in it holding a tray was a nuclear bomb and when it exploded

It said “Hey Mr Lippy from the land of smaray!”…

An orange on an apple with a gun from hamperay, came and scared the octopus driven mapdap with a blue breakable tray and the muttering amber ant muttering waldo wahong was watching in horror as the unicorn unexpectedly jumped away from the mapdap  and joined the amber ant on the peculiar day as the eagle swooped down and said he was sorry too and the ferocious octopus driven mapdap apologised as well and they all had an entertaining picnic with all their favourite cake and all had a cuddle for some weird sake.

British Values Day - April 2016

Following the Queen's Birthday, the children in Class 5 looked at how the Queen was involved in the British Law making process. The children thought about different laws they knew and the reasons why we have those laws. They looked at the process of how a Bill became a Law in The Houses of Parliament and then  to debate in the House of Commons. Class 5 then created their own Bills,  turned their classroom into the House of Commons and debated the Bills, before finally voting on the Bill's they wanted to become Law.
