The Cotswold Brass Festival

Four of our Brass Band players took part in the Cotswold Brass Festival in July 2017 and came first in their section, playing a competition tune from 'Star Wars'. Congratulations to them, for all of their  hard work and dedication. As part of their prize, they got to play at the Dursley Carnival.

The British School Brass Band Update December 2016

The British School Brass Band have been rehearsing hard to play 'Jingle Bells' during the school's Carol Service at St Mary's Church in Wotton.

A group of 16 Key Stage 2 pupils are learning to play brass instruments under the instruction of Mr Alan Swain, a professional trombone player with the Welsh National Opera. A year ago the children had never picked up a brass instrument and now they are able to perform as an ensemble. Mrs Swain, a senior teacher at The British School, has secured funding from various sources including The Wotton Charities Trust, to purchase instruments for the school.
