Since joining The British School in 1996 I have taught across the age ranges, I have been a member of the Senior Management Team and in October 2012 was appointed Headteacher. I am very proud to lead and take forward the school which has a committed and dedicated team of staff who offer a wide variety of skills to provide the best possible education for the children.
Together we aim to foster an environment which is caring, stimulating and happy and one that provides children with a broad and balanced curriculum which allows children to grow in confidence and to build self-esteem. I believe children should be given the opportunity to explore the wider community and world and to develop tolerance and compassion in an ever changing world.
Above all we recognise each child as an individual and work in partnership with our families to ensure all children are given the best possible education to fulfil their potential. When I have some spare time I enjoy claypigeon shooting, body boarding, cycling and playing golf!
I joined the British School in 2011 and could not have wished for a better place to develop my practice. The staff, parents and children have provided a stimulating and supportive environment that has enabled me to both develop as a teacher and progress to my current appointment.
Having grown up in Wotton-under-Edge, I am passionate about the school and its community, and committed to ensuring that we become the best that we can – constantly looking at ways to improve the school and drive it forward.
