Homework
In Class 1, the children are expected to read 5 times a week. This is to be recorded in their Reading Journal. The children are to complete an activity in their Reading Journal once a fortnight. Reading Journals are checked and activities are marked.
The children are also expected to complete a maths and literacy task in their homework books each week to support their independent spelling , sentence writing and consolidation of maths learning objectives.
At the start of each term we will send home a topic homework grid full of different home learning ideas for your children to complete. The children can choose 1, 2 or more activities. These activities are chosen to enhance their topic learning in subjects such as Art, DT, History and Science. Each term we will host a Homework Celebration when the children can bring in their work and parents can visit.
