The Governing Body wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher with experience of KS1 to cover the maternity leave of our PPA teacher for up to one year or the return of the substantive post holder, if earlier. The role is 2 full days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) plus paid PPA time equating to a 0.44 contract. This role is not suitable for an ECT.

The Governing Body of The British School is looking to appoint an organised and efficient Clerk to the Governors.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend 6 Full Governing Board (FGB) meetings a year (these are held in the evenings), with 8 hours allocated for preparation, attendance and matters arising from the meetings. A further 22 hours is paid for additional duties, totalling 70 hours per year. Aside from meeting attendance, the role can be carried out flexibly and will be mainly home-based. Access to a computer and internet is essential to the role. Knowledge and experience of school governance would be preferable but training is available for the right candidate.

- who is highly organised and self-motivated
- who can provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and its central committees
- who can provide advice to the Board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters
- who manages information confidentially in line with legal requirements
- who is willing to attend training to ensure information and procedures are up to date
