School and Eco Council

The School and Eco Council meet every Wednesday afternoon with Miss Carter and Miss Flett and feedback to their class with their class teachers.

You elected them to represent you so make sure to share your ideas with them so they can be discussed with your whole class and at the School and Eco Council meetings.

Every now and then, your school council reps may require some help with events or special projects. Make sure to let them know if you would like to get involved.

The 2022-2023 School and Eco Council met for the first time on Wednesday 14th September and are already hard at work! They have set themselves a few rules for meetings to run smoothly and agreed to spend some precious time with their class to feed back on the topics discussed in meeting but also to listen to new ideas from their classmates.

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity, established to harness the high-profile nature of footballers as anti-racist role models to educate against racism.

On Friday 21st October, SRtRC had their annual fundraising event - Wear Red Day. The School Eco Council felt as though this was a worthwhile cause and asked all classes to take part. All children wore red and donated £1 to the charity. We also spent some time in our classes discussing what racism is and the purpose of the charity.

The British School raised a total of £124!
